The Wearable Technology Show 2017

The Wearable Technology Show 2017 have some really unique ingredients by combining 5 tracks; Wearable Technologies, Digital Health, Smart Home Show, IoT Connect Track and Augmented Reality Show.

First of all, I would like to direct a personal note to the event organisers for all the hard work behind the scenes to bring together innovators, industry leaders, consumers and all other stakeholders involved and interest in the show. A great job, well conceived therefore a massive well done.

With over 200 speakers and 75 hours of talks and panel discussions, delegates can choose from an unrivalled program of content.

The conference covered component technology, applications, business commercialization and a review of the latest devices on offer for both enterprise and consumer adoption. It was a well balanced event with something for everybody, whether you were looking for new innovations, establish new partnerships or strengthen existent business relationships.

Personally, I have enjoyed myself a lot. I met regular faces, leading innovators and even “ industry friends “  I am referring to Jovan Stevovic CEO at Chino.io , Mark Duman , Damien Marmion CEO at AXA PPP,  Nanno Van Der Laan of 112Motion and  Yinka Makinde of Digital Health London

My session

The session on Personalisation: The Future of Health, Fitness and Nutrition. With a particular focus on exploring the intersection of technology and personal empowerment – WATCH THE VIDEO NOW

It was great to talk about TUNE™ – The Running Wearable – Check it all here – https://www.kinematix.pt/

The discussion with Cognisess

Also I took part in a great discussion session on Mind Tracking Devices – Do Brain Wearables Work ?

Brain wearables can improve your focus, detect stress, measure brain activity in sport, education and business environments; but do they really work?

Some of the discussion points included….

  • Do our weak brain signals fool the device?
  • Are there limitations of commercial brain wearables?
  • What companies are creating EEG specific Wearable Devices?

To round up day 1, myself and Miguel Sanchiz of Digital Salutem had a little treat before heading to the Underground to make our way home. We went on Emirates Air Line from the Royal Docks to North Greenwich….and we just found out that we both scared of heights…..ooooops too late now !!!!

We just live once, enjoy it and have fun and we certainly did (not when we looked down from the Air cable).
